Ronise Nepomuceno is the founder and editor of ***The Critical Loop***. Her career spans journalism, independent publishing and more than 25 years in technology, with a particular focus on digital transformation, responsible innovation and the relationship between technology and society.

She has worked across telecommunications, financial services, higher education, and consulting. Her work has encompassed large-scale digital transformation, programme leadership, governance, product quality and organisational change, increasingly extending into AI governance, sustainable technology and responsible innovation.

At EE, part of BT Group, Ronise led a multi-year programme that embedded digital accessibility within broader product and transformation practices. By combining governance, measurement, organisational change, and cross-functional delivery, the programme achieved significant improvements in digital product quality and received external recognition, including a Gold Digital Impact Award in 2023, two Silver Digital Impact Awards in 2024, and RNIB Tried & Tested accreditation for the EE app in 2025\. Her achievements and professionalism were recognised through the EE Consumer CEO award in 2025\.

Her involvement with independent online publishing predates social media and much of the commercial web. In 1995, she launched ***Wildworld: Environment and Development on the Net***, a pioneering web publication covering environmental journalism, global ecology and sustainable development. Wildworld ran until 1999, during the formative years of the public internet. She later founded [BerimbauDrum: World Music Online Magazine](https://berimbaudrum.org/?ref=thecriticalloop.com), an independent publication exploring music and culture from around the world, which ran from 2012 to 2016\.

Before moving into technology, Ronise worked as an environmental journalist, including reporting around the 1992 United Nations Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro. With ***The Critical Loop,*** she brings these strands together: journalism, technology, environmental thinking and organisational experience, with a focus on examining technological and societal change without reducing complex questions to slogans, tribes or easy answers.
